Our yard is situated on 4 acres in Birmingham, AL equipped with all the packaging and equipment handling tools necessary for shipping including 3 forklifts each capable of lifting 36,000lbs.
Our containerization crew can receive your cargo on flat bed trucks provide unloading, storage, repackaging and then load it into containers. We are able to accommodate mass productions as we can ship out 25 to 30 containers a day.
We provide trucks that can handle overweight containers and generate permits for overweight cargo.

Ocean Freight Logistics
Ocean Freight Logistics Services is the strength of our freight forwarding business. We offer whole range of ocean freight logistics as well as providing out own in house Bills of Lading.
Global Maritime is a licensed and bonded Ocean Freight Forwarder with the Federal Maritime Commission ( License Number: 4095NF ), as well as a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC).
The NVOCC designation allows us the additional benefit of being able to negotiate as a carrier for competitive rates and issue our own tariff, which is beneficial to companies with small or large projects to specific international locations.
Our Ocean Freight Logistics specialties are: containerized cargo, full container loads, less than a container loads, RO/RO and break bulk. Based on our customers demands we fit the logistics behind the shipment based on the type of cargo they are shipping.

Heavy Steel Pipe Loading in Containers
GMI is number one in the United States for shipping pipes in containers. We designed a way to protect the fragile pipe and maximize the capacity of a container by developing our own nesting procedure for the heavy steel pipes. It has been carefully designed to protect the expensive coating with zero damage. We ship over 80,000 tons of steel pipe per year on average.

We offer different options of marine insurance coverage for all our freight shipping. Customer can choose partial, standard or full insurance for the cargo.
InterModal & MultiModal Transportation
Inter-modal and Multi-modal transportation is international freight logistics by truck, rail and ocean. Multi-modal transportation combines two or more way of transportation in order to lower cost and shortened delivery time.
